Have you “herd” about this farm?

CowFaceAs the oldest working farm in the country, the Appleton Farms complex is remarkably integral to the community.  The CSA (Community-Supported Agriculture) program has more than 500 participants AND there is a 5 year waiting list.  When you arrive and see the  Jersey cows grazing on rolling hills of grass and hay, it feels like you are definitely “away”.   These easy-going cows produce the delicious milk which is sold in the farm’s dairy store, along with freshly-made yogurt, cheese and butter.

The location may surprise you.  It’s a short drive (or a longer bike ride) away from Andover, just about 20 miles.   But this is just the beginning of the story.  Read all about it here:

If you’re looking for a fast and fun get-away-from-it-all, tell your friends to meet you at the farm!
